Food & Accommodation
We are very lucky to have our dear friend and professional chef Sue Bird to provide our guests with her delicious and varied dishes.
Sue started her career in the kitchens of the Hilton and The Grand before moving to Sussex to work in the famous gastro pub, The Griffin. Sue now runs a private catering company specializing in meals cooked from locally sourced seasonal ingredients.
Meals are relaxed and informal, and taken in our dining room or, if it is fine, outside. We do not provide alcohol, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Tea and coffee are available during courses in The Black Studios.
Mealtimes are opportunities to enjoy each other’s company and talk over all that has happened during the day and plan the day ahead. They are part of the learning experience, which is why we include meals in the course price. Even if you are staying off site, we ask that you take breakfast, lunch and supper with us here.
